Casey over at Half As Good As You has been appointed to the task of whipping a bunch of us blogger into shape. I have a shape it's just a lot rounder than I would like it to be. And a whole lot jigglier (I'm pretty sure that IS a real word). than I's like to be.
Now it's Sunday night and I'm supposed to have my assignment into Casey by Monday...and I'm dead tired cuz it was a crazy weeked do I'm gonna try to make this short and sweet.
The root of the jiggliness (also pretty sure that IS a word) is a lot of dates and some fate....Right now you're probably all like "what???" Let me explain, the extra padding that I'm having trouble with is a result of D-8 (King Size Snikers) and F-8 (Famous Amous Cookies) from the vending machines at work. (Get it Dates (D-8) and Fate (F-8)---I know, lame --it's late cut me some slack).
Now to get down to the task at hand, on to the Half as Small as You assignment:
1.) What motivates me: My daughter. I want to set a good example for her, and I don't want her to go thru all the cruelty that I went thru because I was a pudgey kid.
2.) What is my long term goal: Lose the extra weight and start eating healthy.
3.) What is my long term weight lose goal: I would guess that I need to loose about 40-50 lbs.
4.) What tools are available to me: None really, unless you count a bicycle, but my husband broke it a while back, so I may have to steal his....
5.) How often can I exercise: Now this is a hard one, If I'm home I'm pretty much the only one whose watching my DD. I'm gonna try to fix up the bike and ride at least 45 minutes 3 times a week....I'll try.
6.)What do I plan on doing: ok, I kinda jumped the gun on this one refer to question 5, also I need to make more of an effort to eat healthy (It's kinda hard cuz the in-laws cook, really good bad for you foods with yummy sauces galore) (I've tried to do the cooking every so often, but it's a huge PITA--because the in-laws are control freaks--moody control freaks).
7.)What worked in the past: I've had sucess with Weight Watchers, I tried again recently with out the same luck...
Ok, so there you have it. I'm insanely tired so I'm gonna go to bed now. I promise a better post next time, when I'm more awake. So I'm off to get this linked and then to bed, aaah tomorrow's Monday...great!
Great idea: Boon baby food pouch rack

Ha, date and fate, very clever young lady! Welcome to the club, now lay off the sauces, vending machines and anything else that tastes better than cardboard. Good luck to you, I'll link you up in tomorrow's post.
I loved the "Date" and "Fate". Snickers is a friend of mine too. Um, and jigglier? It is so a word. My thighs speak it to me every day. Every day.
You rock, Katie. We're so doing this. My thighs are totally jigglier than yours!! I'm a Reese fan more than Snickers, and they're right on my desk!! But I will totally refuse them. Special K and Hot Tea for breakfast!!! LOVE YOUR MOTIVATION!!
Sigh. Snickers is not my friend, but Milky Way understands me like no one else. Good luck!!!
Mmmm Snickers. I am so in trouble. The kids will have candy. Food Holiday - Arrrr!!! I had to really think about Date and Fate. Yeah that's the blonde peaking thru. Don't keep any change in your purse or drawer, then it takes away the temptation.
How I love Famous Amos Cookies. They were my favorite vending machine item as well, luckily I don't have that temptation anymore, but there's plenty of junk right here at home. Good luck!
Just popping in to meet the team! Good luck on your first week. We can do this!
I'm lucky because my favourite Famous Amos Cookie store has shut...
What am I saying??
Good luck!
My baby daughter (now 18 years old) is really my inspiration, too. Only with teenagers it might go something like this: "Mommy, try not to stuff yourself into those jeans when you come and visit at Parents' Weekend!"
That's so great you're doing it for your daughter! I want to set a good example for my son as well. And I would say jigglier is a word. My thighs tell me so.
For me, it's Kit Kats and Nestle Crunches.
Good luck!
How's your willpower going? Exercise yet? C'mon, get your butt in gear! You wanted me to motivate, no?
Oh, sauce is a hard one. It tastes so good and is so bad for you!!!!
I'm here to support your efforts - eating healthy will start to feel great after a while, but is a TON of work. Good luck, I'll keep checking in!
Just checking in from club HASAY to tell you to put the fork down and start sweating! I'll be back to check...
;-)
Just checking in from Club Torture. I love love LOVE those mini candy bars....especially if they're from the freezer. Which is why I only by the Halloween candy I don't like. That way I don't feel like I have to eat the left overs.
Hi, Katie.
How're the fates and dates doing?
Hope you're doing well.
